The outbreak of the coronavirus that followed wasn't expected, but we knew we had to do something for our community.
Furkat & Robbie decided to join the movement of helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by making non-medical reusable face masks. This decision has required us to temporarily shift our resources away from launching what would’ve been our swimwear collection to make masks that represent our rich Jamaican heritage and vibrant personalities while keeping one another safe.
We believe in the power of love and community all the time, even now.
In the face of this pandemic, we are reminded that we are all connected and our greatest strength lies in our unity and looking after each other. With your support, we will be making donations to local organizations that represent communities in need.
One such organization is New Jersey based Inspiyahja who is providing food and daily essentials to Jamaican families that have been impacted the hardest by this pandemic. The mission of Inspiyah Inc. is to create sustainable environments in Jamaica while fostering pride in both self and community.
Through their various initiatives, they help facilitate purpose, self sufficiency and access to basic resources to the under-served communities in Jamaica and abroad.
